Description
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS) leadership serves as a master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services to various AMHS Programs. Serves as a case manager, conducts therapy and assessments, and recommends referrals to various programs, program components and other services in the community. Consults with service providers. Provides crisis intervention and assessment. Responsible for extensive case documentation. Additionally, this position will facilitate trainings to AMHS staff, and be responsible for the development and maintenance of AMHS resources. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the department in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, LMSW preferred. Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience treating or working with persons with mental illness required.. Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Co-occurring Disorder Treatment along with Family Psychoeducation is highly desired. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification, and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Salary/Hours: $58,843-$66,788 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $77,230. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday,
Location: Adult Mental Health Services/Case Management Team III, Lansing, Michigan.
