Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders by performing the following duties.
Qualifications
Medical Degree by a medical college approved by the American Medical Association
Internship and Residency training from an approved residency program.
Two or more years of experience as a Psychiatrist is preferred.
Board ce1tified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to inte1pret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read and inte1pret documents such as safety mies, procedure manuals, and Principles of Practice and Perfo1mance Improvement Manuals. Ability to write clinical reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients, clients or employees of organization. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
