Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Access-A-Ride Psychologist assumes part time responsibilities in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of evaluating Access-A-Ride applicants for program eligibility. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed and as assigned.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conforms with the AAR MTA guidelines in formulating MTA AAR recommendations
- Assumes responsibility in reviewing related medical records and previous recommendations (if applicable) that may influence the evaluators recommendation
- Assumes responsibility for the screening, evaluation and assessment of MTA AAR applicants that are scheduled
- Reviews medical information and conducts screenings prior to evaluations to determine patient need for transport services and ability to benefit from the MTA AAR program
- Coordinates / communicates with the AAR team in resolving concerns related to applicant’s documentation and records that may influence the recommendation
- Assumes responsibility for continual professional growth and development, by participating in continuing education programs, training programs conducted by the MTA and other appropriate learning experiences
- Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures on daily basis
- Adheres to documentation requirements of Rehabilitation department and the facility
- Assumes responsibility in completing documentation within the acceptable time frame
- Conducts staff training/education as appropriate via formal and informal in-services and consultations
- Reviews and follows the policies and procedures outlined by the facility including Policy and Procedure Manual
- Assumes responsibility in keeping Up-To-Date with current ADA (American Disability Act) Guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's in Psychology with a PhD or PsyD in Psychology
- Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychologist Nurse Practitioner
- 3 years of experience

- Hourly rate: $65 - $75 per hour
