Job Description

St. Anne Institute is currently hiring Overnight shift counselors for our Agency and Behavioral Support Department.

They are both full-time 40-hour per week positions with benefits.

The starting hourly rate for either position is $22.25, dependent upon education and experience.

Responsibilities include:

Support and Coordination -

  • Provide agency staff with guidance in the performance of their duties.
  • Ensure implementation of agency policies and procedures including the SAI Behavior Management Policy.
  • Assist in the coordination of staff assignments for transportation and additional supervision needs across the agency as needed.
  • Manage off-grounds and in-house visits.
  • Accept and store packages for staff and youth.
  • Schedule and secure vehicles for outings and emergencies.
  • Assist the Medical Clinic with the scheduling of medical appointments and hospital supervision.
  • Manage after-hours emergency placements for the Shelter and Crisis Respite Program.

Security -

  • Communicate with assigned Program Administrators, Managers, and Supervisors to ensure the safety of clients and staff.

Agency Documentation -

  • Maintain an accurate and current: daily agency log; daily census; daily record of client movement on and off campus (outings, visits, worksites, using unsupervised time); daily staff list; assigned crisis teams.

Risk Management -

  • Complete and compile internal reports including but not limited to: Critical Incident Reports and Significant Incident Reports according to agency protocol and New York State Justice Center regulations; log entries; staff statements; staff debriefing.

Training -

  • Provide assistance, support, consultation, and training to staff using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Individual Crisis Support Plans and/or Behavior Intervention Plans.

General -

  • Provide a supportive and consistent working relationship with agency staff ( i.e., provides feedback, support, has awareness of other workers skill levels and is sensitive to their needs).
