About the job:
This leader will be assigned to lead Behavioral Health programs including Outpatient (including MN DHS Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy IOP), School-Based (serving primarily Robbinsdale Schools and Anoka-Hennepin Schools), and our Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (serving Central, Metro, and Southeastern MN) programs. Throughout the essential duties and responsibilities listed, there are multiple references to "assigned behavioral health programs" or "assigned programs". The candidate should consider these programs as their assigned programs.
Essentials:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of assigned Behavioral Health programs to achieve established goals and meet quality and licensure standards consistent with the mission, vision, values, and long-range strategic plan of Volunteers of America -MN/WI.
- Assist Director of Behavioral Health in providing clinical and programming direction to assigned Behavioral Health programs so that services provided are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and use evidence-based practices geared toward the population(s) being served.
- Supervise assigned Behavioral Health program leaders providing collaborative leadership, guidance to programs, and ensuring quality programming is delivered. Serve as a backup to provide clinical supervision to staff when needed.
- On an ongoing basis, evaluate assigned programs and redesign program strategy as appropriate to consistently improve program outcomes and respond to community need.
- Track and analyze key leading indicators used to measure the strength of assigned Behavioral Health programs (ie. outcome data, referral counts, billable hours, etc.)
- Develop and manage assigned contract, grant, and program budgets with collaboration from Business Operations Manager and Director of Behavioral Health.

Required Qualifications:?
- Masters or Doctorate degree in field of Human Services and independently licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP).
- A minimum of three years program leadership experience and three years clinical experience (preferably working with a diverse population and within a variety of service delivery settings).
- Must be a MN board-approved clinical supervisor OR must be?eligible to be a board-approved supervisor within 6 months of hire.??
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory/Management skills.
- Strong influencing, teambuilding, interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Strong decision-making and change management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of individuals using tact, diplomacy, and flexibility.
- American Sign Language skills are a plus but are not required. Some exposure to the Deaf community is also a benefit in this role.
