The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst is to provide behavioral programming and consultation according to the program grant and individual client needs. In addition, the Behaviorist is responsible for coordinating behavioral programming with applicable school personnel and family members to achieve a balanced service approach specific to the needs of individual clients.

  • Develops, implements, and supervises behavioral plans according to the needs of the program, staff, and clients.
  • Consistently collects, measures and analyses empirical data from client monitoring to ensure appropriate behavioral approach is being implemented.
  • Ensures all relevant school personnel and parents are educated and instructed on individual behavioral programs on clients.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with relevant community and school personnel to provide accurate monitoring.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date records of client evaluations, behavioral plans and progress.
  • Effectively and appropriately sets limits with clients that are appropriate to the situation.
  • Escorts clients safely to activities or appointments on or off campus as needed.
  • Coaches recreational activities to role model and encourage client participation.
  • Models appropriate and professional behavior (i.e., dress, habits, personality, tact, etc.).
  • Consistently follows proper guidelines and procedures for intervening with physically aggressive clients.
  • Ensures that documentation in client’s file, progress notes and summaries are accurate and completed in the prescribed time (i.e., Non-Medicaid and Medicaid client progress notes are filed and up to date and grid sheets).
  • Provides behavioral consultations to parents and school personnel.
  • Maintains up to date daily provider logs which reflect number of units and all services provided day to day.
  • Relates with clients, parents, peers and the general public in a respectful and professional manner in person and phone interaction.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • BCaBA credential required (or higher - will NOT be considered without it)
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-3 years closely related experience
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills (word processing, data entry and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills

Physical Demands:

The employee will be required to talk, hear and see; ability to manipulate objects with hands/fingers.
