Job Description

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team!


FFS - Fee For Service Position


The Behavior Technician will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.


Qualifications:



  • A high school diploma or a GED and have 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or families


OR



  • An associates degree or higher in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families


OR



  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

  • Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle

  • Availability to work morning, after school, and evening hours

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • A compassionate approach to care

Compensation:



  • $20-$27/hour depending upon experience
