Role: Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are the most vital clinical members who deliver 1:1 treatment for our clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs use ABA techniques to teach a variety of skills such as functional communication, social skills, coping strategies, and many more!

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to clients following completion of training, when appropriate, for a minimum of 80% of hours per week
- Up to 20% of hours will be spent on session notes and other administrative activities
- Implement written individualized protocols for each client as assigned
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Participate and meet competencies within trainings
- Implement behavior management strategies
- Collect data on client behavior as detailed in written protocols and enter in electronic data collection system within organizational expectations
- Ensure a creative, safe, and productive environment to promote client success
- Provide direct 1 on 1 and/or group services to individuals receiving ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA
- Implement and effectively receive and respond to feedback
- Regularly review Supervision log and complete by the 5th of the following month
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and peers
- Prepare client and center materials
- Clean and complete organizational tasks as assigned
- Support relationships and communicate with clients and caregivers, speaking only within the scope of an RBT role
- Participate and collaborate in team meetings and trainings
- Respond effectively and safely in high stress situations
- Attend regularly scheduled sessions consistently and in accordance with Mindcolor’s attendance policy for consistency in client service delivery
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- RBT Certification obtained within first 90 days (Must take and pass the RBT certification exam within 90 days of hire)
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with children with behavioral concerns or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Active Adult and Child CPR First Aid/Certification (Recommend to be obtained prior to start date or no later than 30 business days after initial start date)
- Experience utilizing technological systems, such as Word, Excel or other data collection systems
- Adheres to and is familiar with RBT Ethics Code
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable and reliable

- Must have reliable transportation to and from the designated on-site location (essential)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability and willingness to engage in crisis management procedures as designated by the facility
- Ability to engage in quick movements to respond quickly in various scenarios
- Manual dexterity to be able to utilize technology for typing, computers, tablets, etc.
- Ability to receive and comprehend detailed information through vocal communication
- Ability to see and read all forms of electronic and written communication
- Ability to process complex information and act in a professional and collaborative manner at all times, across all scenarios
- Primary language of communication in this role is English
- Ability to support the basic needs of clients (e.g., toileting, diaper change, etc.)
- Ability to consistently attend and be aware of surroundings for the safety of clients
- Up to 40 hours a week for full time employees that are flexible within availability and center hours
- Requires all hours to be completed at on-site location
