Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate Behavior Technician in Compton, CA, to work with children and young adults facing behavioral challenges. This role involves implementing behavior interventions and providing ongoing support to clients as they develop new, positive behaviors. Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one support to clients to address behavioral challenges and build new skills.
- Record and track client progress, ensuring data is collected accurately.
- Provide feedback to families and other professionals regarding client progress.
- Assist in implementing behavior strategies in natural settings such as home, school, and community.
- Collaborate with the behavior analysis team to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
- Encourage a positive, engaging environment for clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and work in a team environment.
- Patience and empathy in working with children facing behavioral challenges.
