Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Behavioral Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans to clients in an individual or group setting.
We have 2 open positions:
1. North Jersey (Must be able to travel to Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Hudson, Union, Middlesex, and Somerset). ***BILINGUAL IN SPANISH A PLUS for Bergen/Passaic/Essex.
2. Central Jersey (must be willing to travel to Essex, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, and Union Counties.)
***BSP / Plan Writing. Must be able to produce a writing sample.
Additional Requirements: Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to work in client’s homes. Some experience with training others. It is preferred if working towards BCBA certification. Bachelor’s Degree is required.
*** Most cases are between 3:30p-7, but there are some daytime cases available.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel and advise individuals or groups with substance abuse problems
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans
- Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
- Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant parties
- Educate families and groups on substance abuse treatments and prevention programs
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
