The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
Behavioral Patient Watch $24ph
Join our team as a "Behavioral Patient Watch Officer" with Securitas, providing crucial support in a healthcare setting. Work in collaboration with Medical Center clinical staff to ensure the safety and security of patients under observation, particularly those requiring a heightened level of care.
Continuous Monitoring: Provide uninterrupted observation of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
Access Control: Regulate access to patient care areas, screening visitors and their belongings for potential hazards.
Safety Assurance: Remove and limit access to objects that could be used for self-harm, especially during extended stays.
Behavior Monitoring: Stay vigilant for concerning behaviors, especially during off-peak hours.
Staff Protection: Offer protective services for clinical staff when patients pose a danger to themselves or others.
Compliance: Adhere to Medical Center policies and procedures, notifying appropriate personnel of any changes or incidents.
Communication & Coordination:
Alert floor staff, the Securitas Account Manager, Hospital management, and Campus Police in situations involving patient behavior escalation, need for assistance, or patient location changes.
Assist clinical staff with restraints if necessary, prioritizing patient safety and using physical force only as a last resort.
Qualifications:
Excellent observational skills and ability to respond calmly in stressful situations.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with medical and security teams.
Commitment to safety and ethical conduct, following all relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1+ years of security experience required.
1+ years of working in a fast paced healthcare setting required.
Law enforcement or military experience preferred.
High school diploma, GED, equivalent or above required.
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
COVID 19 Vaccination and client mandated medical onboarding.
Additional paid SafetyCare training is required upon hire - classes are held during office hours.
