The OpportunityWe are looking to hire Behavioral Health Technician to join our growing team at our detox/residential substance abuse treatment facility. The Behavioral Health Technicians responsibilities include overseeing the operations of clients in the program and support to help staff through challenging situations as they arise.

To be successful as a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide behavior therapy to support and encourage growth and skill development, assisting in the delivery of behavioral and treatment goals. The Behavioral Health Technician is the liaison between facility departments that report any changes in the clients physical or mental condition.

Duties/Responsibilities-

  • Reports directly to Operations Coordinator and Director of Operations.
  • Experienced with taking vitals and completing physical assessments.
  • Record inventory log of all personal belongings and valuables.
  • Administer UA screens and breathalyzer tests.
  • Conduct well-checks for clients.
  • Complete a timely and accurate shift report at the end of each shift.
  • Redirect clients as needed, under the supervisors direction.
  • Documentation according to federal, state, and provider guidelines.
  • Identify signs of relapse and/or drug use.
  • De-escalate and assist with clients leaving AMA/ACA and other client problems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience-

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid drivers license
  • At least 1-2 years of related substance abuse and mental health experience required
  • At least 1-2 years of related substance abuse detox/residential experience preferred


Shift Availability-

  • 12 hour shift rotation (2ND SHIFT 7PM-7AM)
  • Alternating Weekends
