Job Description
SAC BCBA Job Responsibilities

Application Requirements

  • Must be a BCBA with at least 2 years experience

  • Must have leadership experience




Students Intake

  • Manage the wait list

  • Primary contact for school districts with referrals

  • Schedule observation of the student in his/her respective school

  • Conduct observation and determine student appropriateness for Summit

  • Collaborate/share information about potential student with administrative TEAM

  • Schedule tour with parent/student prior to enrollment

  • Conduct tour with parent and student

  • Ensure SPED administrator has current IEP and set up behavior data collection prior to new student start


Support

  • Initial and ongoing behavioral assessment (e.g., FBA)

  • Behavior support plan and goal development and ongoing analysis of student progress- individually and as a whole

  • Collaborate with parents and districts regarding progress or when issues arise (e.g., significant changes in behavior/procedural changes)

  • Collaborate with and support SPED administrator as needed for programming

  • Review of documentation prior to sharing with parents/districts/other professional (e.g., event reports, progress notes)

  • Collaboration with other administrators regarding classroom assignments based on student need and skill level of the leads/implementors


Transitions

  • Determine readiness based on clinical pieces (e.g., behavioral progress) and discuss with administrative team

  • Request that SPED administrator schedule a meeting with respective district to discuss transition

  • Determine with administrative team who will assist in the transition

  • Schedule and conduct training for receiving team (Basic ABA/PBS and how it relates to the student)

  • Conduct the training with the implementer present

  • Ongoing monitoring during the transition process

  • Attend change of placement IEP meeting

  • Follow-up and assist if necessary






Staffing

Training

  • ABA (ongoing)- all staff

  • PBS (ongoing)- all staff

  • Behavior plan and supporting data (e.g., data entry, graphing, analysis)- all staff

  • Crisis management- train, assist, observe, and provide feedback

  • Ongoing assessment and training of procedural implementation- all staff

  • Working in collaboration with administrative team on what additional training may be beneficial for students and staff (e.g., social skills)

  • Collaboration and support- Support and promote TEAM!

  • With administration members

  • With leads

  • With other professionals

  • Interview Process

  • In collaboration with admin team

  • Questions related to experiences in working with kids, kids with behavioral/social challenges, and programming experience


Evaluation

  • In collaboration with administrative TEAM (ongoing, Annual)

  • Clinical and behavioral pieces (e.g., classroom management, case-management, behavioral plan implementation)

  • Policy

  • Collaborate with administrative team regarding policy related to clinical issues (e.g., restraint/seclusion) and some staffing issues


Additional

  • Supervision o BCBA candidates, RBT’s

  • Ensuring that the Safe Rooms are in good working order
