Job Description
Job Summary:
Serve as a Chief and help us build an Autism Center. We are looking to support an MD or PhD in a clinical administration role and also allow for some clinical and teaching time. We have inpatient autism services for severe autism patients but must develop treatment, research and teaching programs for mild to moderate autism patients now which is where this position will lead.
This position will oversee inpatient, consultation and outpatient services in a leadership and management role. The Chief will assist in diagnostic/assessment services in addition to treatment, research and teaching programs, and will work in cooperation/collaboration with leaders of other developmental programs/services at Upstate (e.g., developmental pediatrics, neurodevelopmental disabilities).
We would be happy with an established leader or are willing to train and develop a clinician-educator or clinician-researcher with less experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Board eligible in Psychiatry and NYS license required.
