Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced
School Psychologist
to join our team in Nevada. This full-time, on-site position involves working directly with students to support their emotional, social, and academic development. The ideal candidate will be mitted to creating a positive, supportive environment for students while providing psychological services and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments, including evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Develop and implement effective intervention plans to support students social-emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement individualized strategies to support student success.
Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.
Support the development and implementation of 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for students with disabilities.
Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations or critical incidents.
Educate and support school staff in areas related to mental health, behavior management, and creating a supportive learning environment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, assessments, and interventions.
Participate in school meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives for student wellness and mental health.
Qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Valid Nevada School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
Strong written and verbal munication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families.
Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the development of IEPs and 504 plans.
Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with psychological testing, assessments, and evaluations.
Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and counseling strategies.
Ability to support and educate staff on mental health issues and behavioral management techniques.
Experience working with a diverse student population and providing services to students with disabilities.
