Position: School Psychologist
Location:near Pawtucket, RI
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Caseload: Middle School (4 days/week), Elementary School (1 day/week)
Number of Buildings: 2 (Middle School & Elementary School)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and assessments for students in grades K-8.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services for students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, offering professional input on student progress and needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary.
  • Support and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment.
  • Stay current on educational best practices and regulations affecting student mental health and educational services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (or eligibility for certification).
  • Previous experience working in schools preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of school systems, student support services, and special education processes.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 4 days per week at the middle school, 1 day per week at the elementary school.
