Schedule:

  • High School (HS) Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:40 PM
  • K-5 Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:50 PM

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Chestertown, MD. This is a contract position with flexible hours and an itinerant caseload covering K-12 students. The caseload includes one high school (HS), one middle school (MS), and three K-5 schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological testing and evaluations to assess educational disabilities.
  • Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute valuable insights for student support.
  • Provide counseling services as outlined within students' IEPs.
  • Support the Student Support Service Team in developing strategies to support students.
  • Identify and contribute to the development of educational plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Engage with teachers, parents, and administrators to enhance student outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Active state licensure as a School Psychologist (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience working with K-12 students, including behavioral management strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with school teams, parents, and administrators effectively.
  • Strong organizational and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
