Schedule:
- High School (HS) Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:40 PM
- K-5 Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:50 PM
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Chestertown, MD. This is a contract position with flexible hours and an itinerant caseload covering K-12 students. The caseload includes one high school (HS), one middle school (MS), and three K-5 schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological testing and evaluations to assess educational disabilities.
- Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute valuable insights for student support.
- Provide counseling services as outlined within students' IEPs.
- Support the Student Support Service Team in developing strategies to support students.
- Identify and contribute to the development of educational plans for students with diverse needs.
- Engage with teachers, parents, and administrators to enhance student outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Active state licensure as a School Psychologist (or ability to obtain).
- Experience working with K-12 students, including behavioral management strategies.
- Ability to collaborate with school teams, parents, and administrators effectively.
- Strong organizational and report-writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
