Pay: Ranging from $40-$50/hour
About the Role
We are looking for a School Psychologist to join our team and provide critical psychological services to students across Kansas in a fully virtual setting. As part of our dynamic team, you will help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally by offering assessments, counseling, and consultation, all while working remotely. This role provides flexibility and the opportunity to make a direct impact on students' lives from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities
- Psychological Assessments: Conduct evaluations for academic, behavioral, and emotional needs, offering a comprehensive understanding of each student's strengths and challenges.
- Student Counseling: Deliver individual and group counseling to support students in managing emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.
- Consultation & Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to ensure that appropriate interventions are in place to support student well-being.
- Special Education Support: Assist in developing and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans based on psychological assessments.
- Crisis Support: Provide crisis intervention and support when students face mental health emergencies.
- Professional Guidance: Offer training and resources for school staff on best practices for addressing mental health and behavioral issues in the virtual classroom.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
- Licensure: Current, valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Kansas.
- Experience: Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting. Experience in a virtual school environment is a plus but not required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with virtual tools and telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Ability to engage and build relationships with students and staff in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of psychological assessments, crisis management, and student mental health.
- Knowledge of Kansas state regulations, IEP processes, and special education laws.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in telehealth or online education settings.
- Familiarity with behavioral interventions and mental health support strategies for students.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads remotely.
