As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you'll work with children and adolescents (ages 6-17) in our acute care setting, providing hope and healing to those who need it most. Required Qualifications
Master's degree (MA/MS) in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field
Active Alabama licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred)
Minimum one year experience in inpatient psychiatric setting
Dedication to working with children and adolescents
Strong crisis intervention skills

Therapeutic Leadership
Design and implement individualized treatment plans
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments
Lead group therapy sessions that foster growth and healing
Provide weekly individual and family therapy
Create lasting positive change through evidence-based interventions
Family Support
Guide families through their child's treatment journey
Facilitate family therapy sessions
Provide tools and strategies for long-term success
Help build stronger family connections
Support parents in understanding their child's needs
Crisis Management and Support
Respond to client emergencies with expertise and composure
Provide crisis intervention when needed
Support clients through challenging moments
Maintain calm and therapeutic environment
Ensure safety and well-being of all clients
Treatment Planning and Documentation
Develop comprehensive treatment strategies
Monitor and document client progress
Coordinate discharge planning
Maintain accurate and timely records
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday
One weekend rotation every fourth week
