Under general supervision, establishes and maintains a school mental health program in a school assigned by Greater Greenville Mental Health Center and provides therapeutic services for Greater Greenville Mental Health Center clients in that school and their families.
Job functions include, but are not limited to:
(1) Provides individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, assessments, crisis interventions in a school mental health program during the school year and in Intensive Community-Based Services when school is not in session.
(2) Maintains documentation of clinical services in accordance with state and center quality assurance standards, adheres to all corporate compliance, outcomes evaluations, research, and continuity of care policies and procedures.
(3) Support the school environment through consultation, collaboration, and teamwork.
(4) Participates in meetings and trainings actively including weekly staffing, monthly SMH meetings, monthly supervision meetings, general CAF or GGMHC meetings and any assigned trainings.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Department of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
