Job Description
Educational Requirements:~MH Residential Behavioral Specialist~Must have an Bachelors degree from an accredited institution with a major in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or other related field. AND Minimum of two years experience with persons with mental illness, substance abuse, developmental disabilities/or psychiatric disabilities in a residential setting.Other Qualifications:
  • Must have ability and willingness to travel to ASI-NE regional offices and residential facilities. Travel is required.
  • Experience writing treatment plans (ISP's and/or PCP's) and crisis plans.
  • Experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior strategies for consumers with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disability, as well as the development of Residential Service Plans, APS, locus rating. Experience with community inclusion preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend, explain, provide training and direct staff activities for compliance with: Development, Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting per Maine State regulations; Maine Care; and Co-Occurring
  • Demonstrate skills in planning, directing, organizing, personnel development, supervision of quality assurance, and reporting activities required for the efficient provision of quality contract services to all consumers on a daily basis
  • Proficient with computer applications such as Word, Excel, etc. Experience with electronic medical record a plus.
  • Adhere to crisis support procedures and communication protocol
  • Participate in an on-call rotation providing emergency services for clients, according to established on call procedures.
