Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Family Outreach Center is seeking a person for a 40-hour benefitted position within the Outpatient Program as a Therapist. The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with a minimum of two (2) years relevant clinical experience preferred. The candidate must be comfortable working with a team and with clients that present with a variety of mental health and substance use issues.

Responsibilities would include:

• Gather and compile pertinent client information for biopsychosocial assessments.
• Diagnose using DSM 5 criteria
• Develop appropriate treatment plans
• Complete discharge/terminations.
• Conduct individual, family and group therapy sessions
• Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintain weekly to biweekly supervisory meetings with the Outpatient Supervisor regarding case consultations, performance of duties, etc.
• Assist clients in acquiring other services needed; (advocacy role), i.e., medical, vocational, financial, as appropriate and necessary
• Comply with regulations regarding confidentiality of records, professional ethics, and mental health standards
• Remain compliant with professional licenses and certifications

JOB TYPE: Full Time

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or related field. Must also be a Certified Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CAADC) or have submitted a plan for obtaining a CAADC.

Pay Range: $50,000 - $58,000 per year
