Part-Time Behavioral Support Professionals Wanted!
Are you a compassionate and skilled professional with a passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? We're seeking dedicated Direct Support Staff who are experienced in ABA techniques and ready to make a meaningful impact on the life of a young adult. If you have a strong behavioral background and are ready to help others thrive, we want you on our team!
Available Shifts:
  • Two afternoons a week start time between 3:30 and 5 pm and end time around 9:00 PM
  • Occasional weekend shift available on an as-needed basis, 45 hours
What Youll Do:
  • Use ABA principles to enhance the quality of life for a young man.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of 11 professionals to implement his Positive Behavior Support Plan and Individualized Support Plan.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Has strong experience with ABA, particularly in working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Is capable of independently following behavior intervention plans.
  • Is enthusiastic about engaging the client both at home and in the community, using behavioral strategies to improve social and adaptive skills.
  • Holds a clean driving record and has access to a reliable vehicle.
Your Essential Skills:
  • Proven experience in managing behavior support plans and using alternative communication methods such as PECS or AAC.
  • Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide direct support for a 190-pound adult male, both physically and behaviorally.
  • Previous experience working in environments that require positive behavioral supports and a deep understanding of ABA.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience as a Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) or in other behavioral health roles.
  • Onsite ABA-focused training provided.
  • A variety of behavioral certifications are welcome.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Bachelors degree or certification in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related fields (RBT, NADD, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) and ABA methods.
  • Background in intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially autism.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Proficiency in teaching ADLs, maintaining positive relationships, and demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
