About The Position

Shift: Night 11:00 PM-7:30 AM

Experience: Minimum years of experience required
License: Current Registered Nurse License
Certifications: Relevant nursing certifications preferred
Must-Have: Experience in a related field and proficient in using medical equipment
Job Description:
- Provide professional nursing care to individuals in various settings, including student health services and state-operated facilities.
- Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Conduct nursing rounds, take, and record vital signs.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications, treatment plans, and immunizations.
- Monitor patients in restricted settings at regular intervals and provide immediate medical attention for emergencies.
- Schedule, assign, and review the work of lower-level staff, if required.
- Participate in staff development and education, review care plans, and train new employees.
- In a corrections medical center, manage healthcare for 20-60 bedridden inmates, including making rounds, evaluating care needed, and rendering direct nursing care.
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusions, and more.
- Organize and oversee emergency response teams and direct healthcare staff during the shift.
- Assist physicians in conducting diagnostic health evaluations.
- Perform clerical tasks like charting, completing reports, documenting Medicaid information, and managing inventory of medical supplies and medications.
- Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations.
- Serve as an instructor and participate in problem-solving teams or groups.
This position requires a dedicated and skilled professional capable of managing a variety of tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.
