Open Rank Professor for the PMH NP, DNP Program, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Department, College of Nursing
Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work (online and in-person) and clinical supervision of students. The UTHSC embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care, and institutional service. Research/scholarship activities and institutional service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required,
- Certification/recertification- eligible as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Earned doctoral degree from an accredited university required.
Departmental Preferences:
- Two or more years of substantive psychiatric-mental health expertise, including clinical practice expertise as an advanced practice nurse in psychiatric-mental health nursing is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Prior leadership experience is desired.
- Expertise in clinical teaching and active engagement in the appropriate professional organization is desired.
