We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join their team in a non-profit, outpatient clinical setting that primarily serves the adult population. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients- Diagnose and treat mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual disabilities- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans- Provide medication management and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications

Essential Job Functions:- Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care- Stay up-to-date with advancements in psychiatric research and treatment modalities- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records- Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in patient care- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options

Skills:- Licensure in Virginia as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (Board Certified or Board Eligible) required- A minimum of two years of experience working with persons who have serious mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders required- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate required- Must possess a valid Driver's License, good driving record, and the ability to provide own transportation
