Position Summary:
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with behavioral health needs through direct behavioral interventions and skill-building. Working primarily in an outpatient setting but also in community and home environments, you’ll collaborate with clients, families, and our clinical team to promote adaptive skills, social integration, and behavior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Behavioral Interventions: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans, focusing on skill acquisition and reduction of maladaptive behaviors, across classroom and home settings.
- Data Collection and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress, behaviors, and session details, ensuring compliance with Medicaid and The Well’s standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with BCBAs, therapists, and team members to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
- Crisis Intervention: Utilize de-escalation techniques and follow intervention plans to manage crises effectively.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred).
- Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience: Preferably with individuals with behavioral health needs or autism spectrum disorders.
- Skills: Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), excellent interpersonal and data-collection skills, and stress management abilities.
