Virtual School Psychologist
Location: Remote (Serving students in Delaware)
Position Type: Full-Time Work from Home Contract
Pay: $48/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students emotional, behavioral, and learning needs. Analyze assessment data to inform interventions and support strategies.
- Intervention Services: Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for students with identified needs. Provide virtual counseling and support to students dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and other challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and special education staff to create a comprehensive support system for students. Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support for students in crisis and develop plans to address their needs effectively. Collaborate with school administration and community resources as necessary.
- Consultation and Training: Offer consultation services to educators and staff regarding mental health issues, classroom management strategies, and effective interventions. Conduct training sessions for staff on mental health awareness and support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress. Prepare and submit reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices, new research, and developments in the field of school psychology. Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctoral or masters degree in Psychology, School Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Licensed or certified as a School Psychologist in Delaware. Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a school psychologist or in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred. Experience with virtual service delivery is a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of psychological assessments, interventions, and mental health support strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
