VocoVision is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide virtual specialized support for students with emotional and behavioral needs in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our remote education platform connects qualified educators with students who benefit from alternative learning environments.
Position Details
  • 37.5 hours per week schedule
  • Mixed grade levels (K-12) with emphasis on middle grades
  • Manageable caseload of approximately 40-50 students
  • Focus on emotional regulation and behavioral intervention strategies
  • bination of direct instruction and consultative services
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop prehensive IEPs addressing academic and behavioral needs
  • Design and implement behavior intervention plans for virtual environment
  • Create and deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide guidance on de-escalation strategies and self-regulation techniques
  • Collaborate with school-based teams to ensure consistent behavioral support
  • Monitor and document student progress toward behavioral and academic goals
  • Facilitate virtual IEP meetings with educational teams and families
  • Support implementation of positive behavioral interventions and supports
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Special Education
  • Valid New Mexico special education teaching license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with emotional/behavioral needs
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies
  • Experience with functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plans
  • Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms preferred
  • Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal abilities
