Job Description:
Soliant Education is actively seeking a qualified and passionate School Psychologist to join a school district in Norfolk, Virginia. As a School Psychologist, you will provide prehensive psychological services to students, helping to assess and address their academic, emotional, and social needs. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to create a supportive environment where students can thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic, emotional, and social challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive educational environments.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing mental health or behavioral issues.
- Offer crisis intervention services as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on psychological and behavioral issues.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Virginia.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent munication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
