Responsibilities:
Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student needs and develop effective intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families.
Support Services: Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services to students, staff, and families as needed, promoting a safe and nurturing school environment.
Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to create a supportive network of resources and services for students' academic and social-emotional well-being.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs, and use findings to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
Advocacy and Empowerment: Advocate for the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities, ensuring that all students have access to equitable opportunities for success.
Professional Development: Stay current on best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development activities, and contribute to the growth and development of the school community.
Qualifications:
Credentials: Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field, and possess a valid Texas certification or license as a School Psychologist.
Experience: Bring previous experience working in a school setting, and demonstrate knowledge of assessment, intervention, and consultation practices.
Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Empathy and Cultural Competence: Demonstrate empathy, cultural competence, and sensitivity to the needs of students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Flexibility: Be adaptable and flexible in your approach, and demonstrate resilience in navigating the challenges and opportunities of the school environment.
