Position Overview:
Join a supportive school district in the Boston area as a School Psychologist, where you will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to foster a safe, productive, and inclusive learning environment. This role emphasizes psychological evaluations, data-driven assessments, and pliance with special education laws to support student development and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations, including FBAs, Classroom Needs Assessments, and specialized assessments, to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Write prehensive psychological evaluation reports.
- Provide risk assessments for students at risk of self-harm or harm to others and consult with administrators and school teams.
- Administer universal screening tools, manage data, and progress monitor to guide program planning at individual, classroom, and school-wide levels.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to implement effective interventions and support strategies.
- Stay up to date on special education laws and regulations, including those for English Language Learners.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in School Psychology or related field (required).
- 3+ years of experience as a school psychologist (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and evaluation procedures.
- Excellent collaboration and munication skills.
- Familiarity with universal screening tools and progress monitoring systems.
