Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the 24-25 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the educational experience of students through effective assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
State Licensure Requirements:
- Candidates must possess or be eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois
