Education:

  • Masters degree, Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Massachusetts Educator License for School Psychologists, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
  • Completion of a practicum/internship as part of the school psychology graduate program.
  • Passing score on the Massachusetts Communication and Literacy Skills Test (MTEL).
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) (preferred).
  • Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check (CORI) and fingerprinting clearance as required by Massachusetts law.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Experience in creating and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans is a plus.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our educational team and support students' academic, emotional, and social success. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to provide assessments, interventions, and consultation that promote positive outcomes for all learners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments: Administer psychological and educational evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students.
  • Develop individualized plans: Collaborate with educators and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide interventions: Offer evidence-based counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students.
  • Consult and collaborate: Work with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and improve the learning environment.
  • Monitor progress: Track and report student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Participate in meetings: Serve as an integral member of the student support team, attending IEP, 504 Plan, and other relevant meetings.
  • Promote equity and inclusion: Advocate for practices that ensure access to education for all students, regardless of background or abilities.
  • Stay compliant: Ensure all work adheres to state and federal guidelines, including Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
