ProCare Therapy is actively looking for a dedicated School Psychologist to enhance our educational team in East Amherst, NY. This role involves working closely with students and staff to deliver comprehensive psychological services aimed at fostering positive learning environments and ensuring student success.
Position Overview:
- Full-Time
- M-F 7:45am-2:45pm
- 2/1/2025-6/26/2025
- Onsite
- Elementary Caseload
- The position includes evalutations/testing (initials and re-evaluations), this includes report generating and attending all Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings for initials, re-evaluations, annual review meetings and program review meetings
- There are currently 62 classified students. The current School Psychologist also functions as the CSE chairperson and 504 Chairperson (15 cases)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support to students and families
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to enhance student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and advise on academic and behavioral interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Requirements:
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Preferred experience in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Knowledge of laws and ethical standards related to school psychology
