Position Type: Full-Time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
- Facilitate interventions and programs that promote social-emotional learning and mental health awareness.
- Ensure that an effective treatment plan has been developed for each student served;
- Provide regular consultation to program staff and parents in matters pertaining to the social-emotional needs of students;
- Participate as a member IEP Team (Individualized Educational Planning Team)
- Maintain confidentiality
- Write appropriate present level of performance statements with current data.
- Provide appropriate documentation of programs of goals and objectives;
- Provide direct services to students and/or parents as described in the IEPT meeting report;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Illinois Professional Educator’s License (PEL)
- School Social Work endorsement required
- Experience working in a school setting
- Strong ability to problem solve and collaborate with others
