Social Worker

Job Description:
A social worker is responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing social, emotional, or financial difficulties. They work with clients to identify their needs and develop a plan to address those needs. Social workers may provide counseling, advocacy, and referrals to other services as needed. They may also work with community organizations and government agencies to develop and implement programs that address social issues.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients' needs and develop a plan to address those needs
- Provide counseling and support to clients
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs
- Refer clients to other services as needed
- Develop and implement programs to address social issues
- Collaborate with community organizations and government agencies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work
- Licensure as a social worker in the state of Michigan
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of community resources and services
