Compensation: - Weekly Gross: $2,750.00 Per Week
- On W2 (Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,030.00 Per Week
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Care (RN - Psych) will provide safe, competent nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions in accordance with facility policies and standards. This role involves collaborating with Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Physicians to offer comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral care. The RN will support patients in managing stress, improving thought patterns, and enhancing overall mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
- Assist patients with exercises to change thought patterns and habits.
- Support relaxation techniques for stress and pain management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure patient safety and promote a therapeutic environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to behavioral health.
Requirements: - Active DC RN License (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- 2 years of experience in acute care settings (required)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations
- Proven commitment to long-term employment (minimum of 2 years preferred)

- Effective interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
