**Job Description:**
- Provide professional nursing care in a health services setting, observing, assessing, and recording symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Conduct nursing rounds, take and record vitals, and prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Monitor restrained patients regularly and provide immediate medical attention in emergencies (e.g., first aid, hospital transportation).
- May schedule, assign, and review work of lower-level staff, participate in staff development, review care plans, and train new employees.
- In correctional healthcare settings, manage all healthcare needs of bedridden patients, develop care plans, and administer medications, including narcotics.
- Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, and CPR.
- Organize and oversee emergency response teams and direct healthcare staff in assigned areas.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic health evaluations.
- Perform clerical tasks such as charting medications and treatments, completing reports, documenting information, ordering supplies, and maintaining drug and equipment inventories.
- Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations, and manage prescription orders through pharmacies.
- Perform administrative tasks, serve as a liaison with other departments, conduct or attend meetings, and occasionally serve as an instructor and member or leader of problem-solving teams.

- Knowledge of professional nursing procedures and relevant regulations and policies.
- Public relations skills and competency in employee training and development.
- Ability to operate medical equipment and analyze data effectively.
