Job Description
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Adolescent Psych
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night; 7:00PM-7:30AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 hours per week
**Experience:** 3 or more years of relevant experience
**License:** RN license in good standing
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI)
**Must-Have:**
- Advanced reading, writing skills, and basic oral skills
- Basic computer knowledge: Word processing, spreadsheet, email application, and web browser
- Illinois state RN license
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Ability to maintain confidential information
**Job Description:**
- Contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Promote evidence-based practice through the nursing process, protocols, and procedures.
- Assess patient status through interview, observation, and physical assessment.
- Develop individualized care plans with a collaborative approach involving patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Use appropriate interventions to achieve expected patient outcomes.
- Evaluate and document patients' progress towards goals throughout the shift.
- Modify care plans based on evaluations.
- Complete required documentation, including patient chart and event reports.
- Demonstrate professional accountability and seek resources for self-development.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoot when necessary.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge and skills in evidence-based nursing practice.
- Promote the professional development of self and team members.
- Share clinical knowledge with others in response to their learning needs.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills in patient care and safety.
- Obtain and handle lab specimens properly and perform bedside lab testing.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care of the patient through collaboration with team members.
- Analyze clinical situations systematically and seek resources to resolve issues.
- Prioritize work based on patient condition and assignment changes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in organizing tasks and activities from admission to discharge.
- Utilize effective communication and teamwork strategies for optimal patient outcomes and unit productivity.
- Provide goal-focused shift reports and advocate for patients.
- Engage in constructive feedback exchange with peers.
- Assess and apply appropriate teaching strategies based on age-specific needs.
