About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
**Job Specialty:** Psych
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Days - 12-hour shifts, 11 AM - 11 PM; weekends and holidays as needed
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum of 12 months of prior experience required; psych experience preferred
**License:** Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
**Must-Have:** Ability to perform CIWA/COWS assessments, conduct urine analyses (UAs), and set/hold firm empathetic boundaries
**Job Description:**
- Work in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for individuals aged 18 and over.
- Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio that includes one nurse on the night shift and 2-3 Behavioral Health Aides (techs) from 7 PM to 11 PM, and one tech from 11 PM to 7 AM.
- Utilize the HCS electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to the dress code of wearing scrubs.
- Provide care for voluntary patients; note that there are no restraints and both administration and the doctor are on call at all times.
- Participate in 2-3 days of orientation with 12-hour shifts until comfortable in the role.
- Work schedule includes three 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends and holidays.
- Maintain standards of care during visiting hours on Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM.
