About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Psych

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights - 12HR: 7a-7p with weekends and holidays as assigned

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Requires 3 years of current psych hospital experience

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Certifications: CPI preferred; will provide onsite if not certified

Must-Have: Solid experience in a psychiatric setting

Job Description:

- Interviews will be conducted via Teams with the camera on.
- Provide care in a 72-bed psychiatric facility with 3-4 units open at any time.
- Handle a combination of adult and adolescent patients, and must be willing to float as needed.
- Work in a freestanding psych facility without onsite security.
- Respond to codes and handle de-escalations and restraints if necessary.
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation: 2 classroom days and 2 floor days if CPI certified; 4 classroom days and 2 floor days if not certified.
- Maintain patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20. Occasionally, support from LPN or MT may be available.
- Wear navy scrubs as part of the uniform.
- COVID and Flu exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons.
