About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Psych - Emergency Department

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Certifications:** ACLS, PALS, BLS, CERT-TNCC

**Must-Have:** Pediatric ER experience of 2 years; Certifications and licenses must remain valid throughout the assignment.

**Job Description:**

- Provide care in a pediatric emergency department setting.
- Handle common diagnoses and treatments such as asthma, DKA, neonates with fever, and sickle cell disease.
- Perform special procedures, including moderate sedations, breathing treatments, chest tube setup and care, use of CPAP/BiPap, home ventilators, and high-frequency vents.
- Manage procedure sedations and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) drugs.
- Perform trach care, operate vents, administer blood products, and handle cardioversion/defibrillation.
- Utilize cooling/warming blankets and interpret 12 Lead EKGs.
- Manage rapid transfusions and line management/equipment, including drains, triple lumen catheter, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access/care, PICC/central lines, PCA pumps, and feeding tubes.
- Address critical care needs such as burns, cardiac, medical, neuro, PICU, surgical, transplant, and trauma.
- Cover medical surgical areas such as general, hematology/oncology, and ortho.
- Be willing to obtain CPI certification.
- Ensure all certifications and licenses do not expire during the assignment period.
