About The Position
**Job Title:** Adult Psychiatry Registered Nurse

**Profession:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** Days/Evenings/Nights Rotate & Every Other Weekend

**Hours per Shift:** 12 hours

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of inpatient adult psychiatric experience

**License:** Active Massachusetts RN License

**Certifications:** AHA BLS, Certification in De-escalation

**Must-Have:** Proficient in automatic medication dispensing systems, electronic health records documentation, and psychotropic medications. Ability to assume charge nurse responsibilities, complete admissions and discharges, and provide care for diabetic patients.

**Description:**
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a 30-bed Adult Psychiatry Unit treating patients aged 18-65 with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis patients. The role involves administering care for some medically acute patients, such as those needing IVs, CPAPs, wound care, and diabetic care. The clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:7 or 1:8. The position requires floating and rotating shifts. Required knowledge includes Massachusetts Department of Mental Health regulations, rights related to restraint and seclusion, legal statuses, and laws on guardianship and healthcare proxy. Additional on-site training offered in AVADE and lead EKG.
